Yazarlar ve eleştirmenler aynı platformda
İskoçyalı roman yazarı Kirsty Logan, Türkiye'nin en iyi resamlarından Gizem Saka, Roma'da yaşayan tiyatro yönetmeni Daniel Roy Connelly ve yazar J.T. Townley’nin de kısa hikayelerinin yer aldığı The Istanbul Review, İngilizce yayınlanıyor. The Istanbul Review Kış Sayısı'nda ayrıca; M. N. Nagel, Emily Dodd, David Shook, Carol McKay, Lyn Lifshin, Sylva Fischerová, Elosham Vog, Mike Sauders ve Claire Askew gibi isimlerin şiirleri de okurlarla buluşuyor.

With the centenary of World War One around the corner, the 4th issue of The Istanbul Review, ‘War Words One’, has a historical focus. Inside, you will find interviews with renowned historian and novelist Simon Sebag Montefiore whose books Young Stalin and Stalin: The Court of the Red
Tsar were published to critical and popular acclaim, and Kate Mosse whose famous Languedoc Trilogy examines the lives of female French resistance fighters. You will also find an interview where famous children’s book author Julia Donaldson discusses her children’s play Bombs and Blackberries, which takes place in Second World War Britain, familiarizing its viewers and actors with concepts like rationing, air raids and prisoners of war. Jonathan Singerton’s essay will give you a taste of linguistics and philology through the works of Eduard Engel, while Patrick Watt’s ‘Overview’ provides a panoramic snapshot of what was happening in our world a little over one hundred years ago.
